Haifley Bros. Bates Style Solo Seats

The Haifley Bros,  Kelly and Doug, are turning out great products from there small shop in Phoenix Arizona.  These two hard working midwesterners are some great guys working with their hands making cool shit.  I am super excited to carry their products on TA.  They're best known for there Bates style solo seats.  I think these are the best reproductions you can find.  The guys do a true tuck and roll pattern out of top quality leather topping it off with a chrome plated 16 ga steel pan.  Throttle Addiction stocks the bates style solo seats come in two versions, 1" and 2" thick black tuck and roll.  If you value quality, craftsmanship and supporting hard working independents, then a Haifley Bros seat is for you.

Photos from Born Free 3

The Born Free show has developed into something insane.  The first show I attended was Born Free 3.  The current show dwarfs the size and magnitude of the event held in 2011, but at the time, it was like nothing I had ever seen. Now, there are decent vintage custom motorcycle shows held around the country, but in my mind, Born Free will reign the American supreme.

from the mind of Maindrive Cycle

Corey at Maindrive Cycles has a talent for creating some amazing motorcycle using late model drive trains.  It doesn't matter if he's reworking a softail or building a ground up period looking chopper using an evolution motor, they all come out slick.  As older motors become more scarce, and certainly more expensive, these bikes appeal to me more and more.  No doubt the old stuff is cool, and its great to have a roadside repair story or two. However the reliability of a late model motor has its place....like when you're sick of working on your bikes and just want to ride them! The blend of new technology mixed with the aesthetics of old cut down bikes seems to be a perfect pairing.  Thanks to Corey for using Throttle Addiction parts on some cool scooters.

Our Narrow Sportster Gas Tank has been the choice of many folks around the world.  It features a single peace stamped top shell and a single stamped bottom.  Cap is offset high on the right and petcock bung low on the left.  this thing looks great on so many different styles of custom motorcycles. It keeps the classic Sportster styling yet is refined enough to be distinctly stylish.

1966 Triumph TR6 Bobber

My 66 was a long 3 year journey to build and was such a fun little bike to ride.  I just sold it to a gent from Wyoming.  if you fancy yourself a bike builder, you are by default a bike seller. Can't keep em all.

Great Customer Cone Shovelhead Chopper

Dusty Miller assembled this snazzy looking cone shovelhead.  He used our Narrow Wassell tank and ribbed fender.  Chassis Design Company did most of the fab work including the slick looped hardtail.  I gotta respect the use of the tall apes.  I don't see too much of that these days.
